The Gender Equality Resource Center (GERC) Inc. welcomes everyone to this website, launched March 2017. The GERC Inc. website is a venue for co-ops and organizations that support co-op development, particularly in the Philippines where the GERC Inc. is based, to learn more on how the mainstreaming of gender and development (GAD) in co-ops that leads to the achievement of gender equality (GE) can help these organizations become even more progressive and their members even more empowered. And that learning, we hope, should come hand-in-hand with the commitment of co-ops, co-op promoting organizations, development agencies, local government units, and government agencies to make co-ops and other development institutions gender-fair and gender-sensitive.
This website will feature news and updates about GERC Inc. The website will also share resource materials on GE, co-op development, and related development topics to be created by GERC Inc. and also gathered from co-ops and private and government agencies involved in development.
This website also presents the “Gender and Development [GAD] in Co-ops Resource Pool (GCRP) Directory.” The GCRP Directory contains the list of “GCRP Fellows” who are GAD trainers/experts responsible in expanding GAD outreach to co-ops; and non-government organizations, government agencies, local government units, and other agencies that support GAD and co-op development. These co-ops and other agencies can communicate directly with the GCRP Fellows in the GCRP Directory for GAD mainstreaming-related services.
In general, this GERC Inc. website is a source of information on GAD and GE to help increase one’s awareness of the importance of GAD and GE.
